Scientists from Japan's University of Tokushima found that people who regularly consumed Oolong tea experienced more than twice the calorie-burning results compared to those who drank green tea.
A study published in the Journal of Medical Investigation found that women who consumed Wulong tea directly after a meal increased energy expenditure by 10%. This compared to an energy expenditure of 4% for green tea drinkers and 0 for water drinkers. Researchers at the Suntory Research Center in Osaka, found that drinking Wulong tea 15 minutes before eating foods high in carbohydrates curbed rises in insulin, thus reducing some of the fattening effects of carbohydrate intake.
Better Skin Condition Researchers from Japan's Shiga University found that drinking Wulong each day helps to clear up skin problems within one month. Dr. Kenichi Yanagimoto from the University of California found that people who drank Wulong tea on a daily basis experienced a fifty-percent reduction in free radicals within 15 days. Free radicals are damaging substances in the body that contribute to signs of aging, including wrinkles and dark spots that are caused by ultra-violet rays, chemical food additives, pollution and stress. Other diseases related to aging and caused in whole or part by free radical damage are cancer, Alzheimer's dementia, arthritis and inflammatory disease and heart/artery disease.
These free radicals are produced by stress, pollution, eating processed foods, chemical additives in many of the foods we eat etc. Many of the visible signs of aging, such as dark spots and wrinkling of the skin, have been strongly linked to increased levels of free radicals invading our body... day in, day out. To Make Tea all you need is
1) Hot Water
2) Steep Tea Leaves in Hot Water
3)Remove Leaves to Drink
Infusers or Infuser Spoons are containers or spoons that open up & close around tea leaves. Allow the enclosed tea leaves for set in the hot water for at least 5 minutes, before removing to drink tea.
Many Tea Pots already have infusers inside them or holes in the spout to strain the tea leaves. Or you can simply place the leaves in the hot water to swirl around while steeping. Then pour the tea through a Tea Strainer to remove the leaves. Tea Leaves can also be placed inside Tea Bags for steeping.
How Much Tea is Used to Make Cup of Tea?
A) Black Tea is much stronger than other teas, so you only use ½ a teaspoon for a cup of tea. I use a drip coffee maker to make tea & use a heaping tablespoon of black tea for 12 cups. I let the leaves swirl freely & then pour the tea through a tea strainer into a cup. I suggest using 2 heaping tablespoons of all teas other than black tea per a 12 cup drip coffee maker. Black tea requires 1 tablespoon for 12 cups.
B) White, Green, Red & Oolong Teas require 1 teaspoon per cup
C) Yellow & Teas require 1 to 1 ½ teaspoons per cup. I suggest allowing these teas to steep for as long as 30 min.
If Tea tastes bitter, then it should be diluted w/ water. Some people like a super strong cup of tea, but others like a weaker flavor to the tea, so it is simply a personal preference.
Different kinds of Teas can be blended! Some love the flavor of Green Teas, but if you don't care for the flavor of green tea, you can blend w/ black or red teas to improve their flavor. Dried fruit can be added to flavor teas, or you can make a healthy punch drink from the fruit alone. Also add herbs to tea!
Dried Tea Fruit can be used to make a healthy fruit drink. I would start with one teaspoon per cup & add or take away according to you flavor preference. Stevia (available at Walmart) can be used to sweeten it & it is also an herbal supplement that's good for you.
True Tea Lovers believe Tea is more effective when served hot & when leaves are allowed to swirl freely in hot water. However, all teas are great served hot or cold.

Story of the Tea Cup
There was a couple who went to a famous English Tea Emporium & China Shop, known for it's priceless treasures, to buy a gift to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. I screamed, cried & begged, but the maker only nodded & said quietly, "Not Yet!" He spun me poked, prodded & bent me out of shape. Then he put me in the oven. I never felt such heat. I knocked & pounded at the door, & cried. "Help! Get me out of here!"
